What are the risks or possible damage on car when putting 20″ wheels/tires on a car? ?

I just put 20" wheels/tires on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I want to lower the car now and would like suggestions of possible damage to car, engine, suspension or any part of car. Any ideas for price and product to lower car safely would be helpful as well. thank you.
The regular size that I bought the car with was 16" tires. Can I get information on lowering the car without issues down the road. I would rather do all work at once to prevent problems later.

the car was designed with 15inch wheels, the suspension and brakes were designed with 15inch wheels… putting 20′s on looks cool, and overloads the steering, and the brakes when going quickly, also itll not display the correct MPH speed…

The following will all be affected by the larger wheels.

    1. Wheel bearings.

    2. Suspension.

    3. Brakes.

    4. Insurance rates.

I am old school. 20′ rims are ugly. You may be arrested by the fashion police.

I would not think that it would damage the car if the diameter of the original tires and the diameter of the new tires are the same or extremely close. It may mess up your speedometer.

Over long periods of misuse your wheel bearings will eventually go bad from the oversized rims.

Otherwise no long term effect that wouldnt normally happen.

I just started working on this car so let me know how you like it.
It’s a 04 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Supercharged with 20" rims and Nitrogen filled tires.
The tint is 20% and it has an air intake and inter cooling system just installed.
I just painted the hubs metallic to bring out the silver in the rims.
