i found that wheels very awesome and i was wondering if i can get myself a remote control car with mecanum (of just holonomic with omni wheels)

how does a car move forward when the wheels are spinning? |
if you have a front wheel drive, or a rear wheel drive, and you jack your car up. You take one of the wheels and spin it, the other one will spin in the same direction, perspectively. like if you spin one wheel to the right, the other one will also spin to the right. However, if you spin one forward, the other one will spin backward. If that happes, how do the engine, and the transmission make the car go forward?

Is it true you can design your own Hot Wheels car at FAO Schwarz in New York City? |
My brother and I heard about it.. We're not sure if you can still do it, but we are about to take a family vacation to New York and we want to know: Can we make our own Hot Wheels? They were our favorite toys as kids... lol.
Yeah, I saw that article too! I know they're all dated '05-'06, so I wasn't sure. But maybe then it was a new thing? Oh well. I guess I'll see when I get there!

Why would you want to decrease the friction between the axle and wheels when building a toy car? |
Also, why would you decrease friction between the wheels and the floor? I'm building this car out of recycled materials, and I would appreciate it if you could explain this. Thanks!

Can I put bigger tires on my car if i buy wheels with a smaller width? |
I have 22x9.5 on my car right right with 245/30/22. It barely clears without rubbing by about a half an inch. I was wondering if I get 22x8.5 wheels can I get a tire with more meat without it rubbing? Thanks

Nailing it & it's not even. How to make Pinewood derby car wheels even? |
One of the little wheels on the car doesn't touch the track.
Should I take a toothpick & clean out the slot, assuming there is paint affecting the pushing in of the wheel nail?
Or maybe just add weights until the wheel touches the ground?
Should I use Super Glue to keep the wheel in permanently?
This is the boy's first pinewood derby & car so any help would be appreciated.
