Best Wheels

A friend and I have conflicting opinions. I think that when you turn the steering wheel you can make the wheels spin around forever in the same direction, and the steering wheel doesn't reach a stopping point. Maybe that's why so many people get stuck and can't go in the right direction. Does anyone know the answer?

My girlfriends ford escort has a steering problem. When she turns the steering wheel in a directio, at first it does nothing but then it catches and the wheels move. What Is wrong with the car and would i be able to fix it. I have a little experience with cars (BMW's) but am not sure about the Fords and dont want to have to waist money. Thanx!!!

A friend of mine insists that it is hard on a car's power steering system to turn the front wheels when the car engine is on but the car is stationary. Obviously, twisting the steering wheel back and forth in this situation would be abusive, as would be too much lock-to-lock turning. No, we are talking about turning/straightening the wheels in a parking space, or turning the wheels in order to leave a parking space, but before the car has begun to move. I think the system is robust enough and designed for these applications and that such use does not constitute abuse. FYI - the car in question is a 2004 3-series BMW.

My car's front wheels area is wobbling but the wheels isn't; it just somewhere in that area that is wobbling. It happens everytime I cruise when I let go of the gas pedal. It also does it when the car goes over a bumb. My steering wheel is not straight and when I aligned it straight and let go of it, the car wonders off course. What could be the problem? It it bad tie rod ends that causng the wheels area to wobble or what? Please help!

my left side front wheel is not balenced propely due to hitting/bumping off curbs.so my steering wheel is off centre when my front wheels are straight.my car is a rover 216 4 door hatchback.how much will this cost to put right?
