Best Wheels

I would like to learn how to dismantle/reassemble the hood, wheels, etc. on a Hot Wheels/Matchbox toy car. I tried using a drill to open one of my cars before, but then I didn't know how to put it back together again. I don't want to ruin it, because I'd like to reassemble the vehicle with different parts. Thanks.

Please give good suggestions. My sons have their hearts set on getting one of those ride-on toy cars but Hubby is afraid it won't fit in our car.

I am making a car for a school project, and it cannot weigh more than 1 pound, what can I make the wheels out of?!?!
I can't use wheels from a toy car... i have to make them by myself with something reli light.
